More teams means less talent to spread around. Think about if you started the NBA over today, but you only had eight teams. Now, conduct a draft for each of those eight teams. Think about who would be coming off the bench rather than starting. Andrew Bynum might not even get drafted and Jordan Farmer - and maybe even Derrick Fisher - wouldn't be drafted at all.
