It was a stress free week 3 as my pick, the Baltimore Ravens, absolutely demolished the Cleveland Browns. Elsewhere around the league there was only one upset, the Lions over the Redskins, but I hope you didn’t pick the Skins after their performance against the Rams two weeks ago. Through 3 weeks of the season there still hasn’t been that one huge upset that knocks out a bunch of people.
Now onto to this week:
Teams already used:
Week 1: Seattle Seahwaks: Win
Week 2: Green Bay Packers: Loss
Week 3: Baltimore Ravens: Win
The pick for week 4 is the New York Giants.
These are two teams that are going into two opposite directions right now. The Giants are clicking all cylinders while the Chiefs are struggling to do anything. Their suspect passing game has proved all the naysayers wrong so far as Steve Smith and Mario Manningham are forming quite the tandem. Also Ahmad Bradshaw has picked up the slack left by Derrick Ward averaging 5.7 yards per carry. Their defense completely shit down the Tampa Bay offense last week holding them to only 86 total yards. With the Chiefs failing to manage 200 yards last week it could be a long day at Arrowhead. If you are worried about picking the Giants because they are on the road, take a look at the Chiefs record in their last seven home games: 0-7.
The Chiefs on the other hand are looking terrible so far. They have had very ugly performances in their two games, losing to the Raiders and the Eagles. They let Kevin Kolb tear them apart last week and let JaMarcus Russell actually win a game. Their offense is looking so hot either. Larry Johnson is a shell of his former self and Dwayne Bowe is iffy to play this week. Cassel had looked mediocre but the departure of Tony Gonzalez has clearly hurt the team.
Final Score: Giants 27 Chiefs 10
In case you use one of the teams I have already sed here are some other teams I like:
Colts over the Seahawks- The red hot Colts get the Seneca Wallace led Seahawks at home. Enough said.
Texans over the Raiders- This is a bit of risk but I wouldn’t worry too much. The Texans are at home are a win would get them back to .500. Don’t forget they are playing JaMarcus Russell.
