It was a nerve racking week last Sunday as I went with the Miami Dolphins, who barely escaped with a victory over the Bucs. After Henne threw a interception with under two minutes left i though it was over, but the Dolphins found a way to come out with a win.
The big upset last week was the Redskins topping the Broncos. I’m sure at least a few people took the Broncos, so congrats on resisting the tempation and surviving another week.
This week is not short on favorable options and you should have a bevy of options.
Now onto this week’s suicide pick:
Teams already used:
Week 1: Seattle Seahawks: Win
Week 2: Green Bay Packers: Loss
Week 3: Baltimore Ravens: Win
Week 4: New York Giants Win
Week 5: Dallas Cowboys Win
Week 6: Pittsburgh Steelers Win
Week 7: Carolina Panthers Loss
Week 8: Chicago Bears Win
Week 9: Atlanta Falcons Win
Week 10: Miami Dolphins Win
The pick for Week 11 is the Minnesota Vikings.
Despite boasting an 8-1 record, I have not yet taken the Vikings. After looking at their remaining schedule this is their most favorable matchup, so I decided to pick them while I can.
The Seahawks are struggling lately, having dropped three of their past four. Injuries have once again taken a tole on this team and it has ruined the season. Their o-line is in shambles, they’ve lost some defensive starters, and they just lost Julius Jones last week. Matt Hasselbeck has thrown over 50 times in each of the past two games, not what you want to see from your quarterback.
Meanwhile, the Vikings are hitting on all cylinders and have shown no signs of slowing down. they didn’t play their best game agasint Detroit last week, losing the turnover battle and committing more penalties, yet still won pretty handily. Of course Adrian Peterson has been great, but the passing game has been a pleasant surprise this year. Rookie Percy Harvin has added a another dimension to the Vikings team and Sidney Rice has emerged as a legitimate number one receiver. This team is clearly one of the elite teams in the NFL and they will not falter at home against the Seahawks.
Final Score: Vikings 30 Seahawks 13
In case you have used the Vikings here are some other teams I like this week:
Bengals over the Raiders- The Bengals are for real and the Raiders are starting Bruce Gradkowski, who may be worse than JaMarcus Russell.
Saints over the Bucs- Is an explication necessary? One of the best versus one of the worst.
Steelers over the Chiefs- A nice rebound game for the Steelers.
Jaguars over the Bills- The Jags are hot and the Bills are dealing with a new coach.

Your theories are a bit off. I understand for the Saints one of the best verse one of the worst, but the Bucs have played strong 2 weeks in a row and the Saints are coming off an extremely weak win vs. the worst team in football, the Rams. Saints could be in trouble. And Cedric Benson is out so good luck to the Bengals on the west coast trip. Ask the eagles how that worked out for them when they were hot.
You bring up some good points. I realized this when deciding on my pick and that’s why i went with the Vikings.
Your suicide pick and analysis of the vikings/seahawks game was dead on. Good going.
thanks for the compliment man.
